Who exactly am I?
I am a staff writer for the Cedar Park-Leander Statesman and correspondent to the Pflugerville Pflag, two newspapers under the Austin Community Newspapers flagship, and subsidiaries of the Austin American-Statesman.
I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2011 with a
degree in journalism and a concentration in newspaper/print journalism. I am a
member of the Texas Exes and the Phi Eta Sigma honors sorority.
I first started my journalism experience in high school as a yearbook staffer and moved on as an editor for the school newspaper. In college, I worked for the Daily Texan and the Horn. My other experience includes working as a freelancer for the San Antonio Express-News and an internship at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower center.
When I'm not working or blogging, I can usually be found reading, spending time with family and friends, playing with my cats, drinking a cup of hot tea or scuba diving. I enjoy European history, traveling, playing laser tag, practicing hot yoga and attending my church.
